MT VAEA BAND ‘MAMA’ A SPECIAL DEDICATION ALBUM & MUSIC VIDEOS

This was a special dedication album of Mt Vaea Band ‘Mama’ produced by Christian Brown as a tribute to his parents the late Hon Teoteo Asiasi’au Tiatia Sauso’o Fonoti Brown and Etevise Strickland-Brown, and in memory of his brother Fata Oliula Aukusitino Brown and sister Veronica Brown-Keil who have also passed on to the next life.

The Mt Vaea band album ‘mama’ was recognised commercially and become a multiple award winning album in 2006. Won ‘the Best Polynesian Album Award’ at the Hawaii Music Awards 2006, the ‘Best Pacific Group Award’ at the Pacific Music Awards 2006, and ‘Best Pacific Album Award’ at the NZ TUI Music Awards 2006. And 4 tracks of the album features in the movie ‘Sione’s Wedding’.

Hon Teoteo Asiasi`au Tiatia Henry Sauso`o Fonoti Brown. Fourth Child and a Son of the Late Hon Fonoti Mata’utia Ioane Brown and Luisa Tuala Brown of Lotofaga and Lalovaea. He was Born on the 20th November 1929 in Samoa and was Educated at Marist Brothers School in Mulivai Apia, and St. Patricks in Auckland New Zealand. He was the Founder and Owner of the famous Mt Vaea Club in Samoa, Plantation and a Cattle Farm at JB Fonoti family land Oliula in Lotofaga.

Hon Teoteo Asiasi`au Tiatia Sauso`o Fonoti Brown was a three times Former Member of Parliament for the Government of Samoa. He Represented the District of Avao in Savai`i island 2 times from the early 1970’s under his Title “Tiatia”. And for Matatufu and Lotofaga district in Upolu island the Third time under his Title “Asiasi`au”. He also holds the Title: “Teoteo” of Lotofaga. Hon Teoteo Asiasi`au Tiatia Sauso`o Fonoti Brown was married to Etevise Strickland of Lepea in Faleata, and they have Nine Children. Hon Teoteo Asiasi`au Tiatia Sauso`o Fonoti Brown died on the 5th of September 2003, And was buried at the JB Fonoti Family Land Oliula in Lotofaga Samoa.
